Teluk Kemang Observatory

Teluk Kemang Observatory (Baitul Hilal) is a science tourism attraction located on a hill overlooking the Strait of Malacca, near Teluk Kemang Beach in Port Dickson. It offers visitors the opportunity to observe the moon, stars, and sun through advanced telescopes, accompanied by explanations from experienced staff.

In addition to serving as Malaysia’s official crescent moon observation site, it is also open to the public for both daytime and nighttime stargazing activities, depending on the weather. A highlight of the site is the Baitul Hilal Revolving Restaurant, which offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Port Dickson.

The observatory is ideal for family outings, student groups, and tourists who wish to combine travel with astronomy in a relaxing seaside setting.
