Terusan Mosque
The oldest mosque in Negeri Sembilan was built in 1840 and is located in Kampung Terusan, Juasseh. It was designed by a prominent Negeri Sembilan figure, Dato’ Siamang Gagap, and was constructed through a communal effort (gotong-royong) by the villagers. One of the mosque’s unique features is its low door frame, which requires worshippers to bow before entering — a meaningful symbol of respect.
These mosques not only serve as places of worship but also stand as enduring symbols of architectural heritage and community unity.
