Terachi Cultural Village
At Perkampungan Budaya Terachi in Kuala Pilah, visitors have the opportunity to experience the unique traditions of paddy cultivation and rural life. The Kolam Ngoca here is managed by local residents who plant both regular and glutinous rice. One of the highlights is a paddy plot near the roadside that forms the special inscription “DAULAT TUANKU”, serving as a distinctive attraction for visitors.
In addition to enjoying the lush green scenery of the paddy fields, visitors can also witness lively annual events such as the Pesta Ngoca and Mud Football, which combine elements of culture, sports, and recreation. These activities have now become signature events in the Negeri Sembilan tourism calendar, attracting both local and international tourists.
Located within the same area is Kodai Makan Ain, a popular lunch spot in Kuala Pilah known for its wide variety of fresh and flavorful traditional village dishes. Among the crowd favourites are masak lemak cili api (spicy coconut curry), grilled fish, fresh local salads (ulam-ulaman), and a range of spicy sambal that truly whet the appetite.
With its friendly village atmosphere and reasonable prices, this spot is an ideal stop for visitors wishing to savour the authentic traditional cuisine of Negeri Sembilan while enjoying the charm of rural culture.
