Mural @ Bahau Bus Station
Bahau Bus Station now features a mural over 60 feet long, depicting the history of major transportation in Bahau in earlier times. This project was carried out in collaboration with university students and staff from the Jempol Municipal Council (MPJL), taking about a week to complete. It is an initiative under the Local Agenda 21 (LA21) Program 2024 by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
The mural showcases illustrations of several bus companies that once operated at the station, evoking nostalgia for those who lived through that era. According to MPJL President Mohd Nazri Mulup, although not every memory could be fully portrayed on the station walls, the mural still has the power to stir the soul.
Beyond beautifying the bus station area, the mural is also hoped to become a new tourist attraction in the Jempol district, drawing visitors to learn more about the history and heritage of public transportation in Bahau.
